The main attraction will be provided by Dreamland Amusements with over 40 rides and attractions.  Dremaland has been in business over 30 years operating throughout the Eastern seaboard.

Featured events will be a demolition derby, truck pulls, fireworks and tractor pulls.  There will also be a home show and a substance abuse poster contest.  All students participating in the poster contest will receive a free pass to the fair.
Wednesday will be family night and instead of individual admission, the entire carload pays one price.

This promises to be a spectacular event in the area.

In an effort sponsored by the Vermont Council on Rural Development to improve life in towns.  Peter Hopkins, a resident of Pownal has been heading the effort, and obtaines Select Board approval this week.

The plan is to offer garden spaces to residents who want to grow flowers, vegetables or maybe even pumpkins to enter into the annual Bennington Great Pumpkin Challenge!

The property is located between the town office and nearby tennis courts on the former Bartels Lodge property.

There are many maple syrup makers in the Bennington VT area that are opening their operations to the public on this day.  F. Kobik Family in Shaftsbury, the John Williamson Family in North Bennington, the Armstrong Farm in Pownal, and the J. Mance Family Sugarhouse in Shaftsbury.
