Bennington, Vermont has many great local restaurants and diners. One of my favorites is Alldays and Onions, at 519 Main Street. The unique name comes from a circa 1800s manufacturing company, owned by John Onions and William Alldays.

Recently, a guest and I had dinner at Alldays and Onions. We started our meal with Thai Money Bags; wontons filled with shrimp and gingered vegetables. I chose the New York Sirloin Steak with sauteed mushrooms as my entree – it was cooked to perfection. My guest enjoyed a flavorful Pan-Seared Sole layered with Brie and Smoked Salmon. We plan on returning for another great meal – but next time we will save room for dessert!
